I'm planning on going to Hangtown, but it appears that pit passes and entry tickets are now separate fees. Am I reading this correctly, are the pits now off limits at a national unless a pass is purchased?
Also, any suggestions on great ticket deals?

It has been that way for years at Washougal (my local national).
I went to Hangtown last year for the national and you had to have a pass for the pits there too.
Last time I was at Glen Helen was 2009... Same deal, pits were a separate fee.

The Racer X Pit Pass is for after like 12PM pits are open during practice in the AM. Its just for if you would like access for the whole day.
