As my age increases, I've noticed after long rides (mostly off-road) my hands have almost feel like they're asleep. Very odd tingly feeling that I'm assuming is just from the vibration.

Just threw on the PDHS bar mount, hoping that helps, what have y'all tried put and found success in?

Currently rocking Mika Oversized Tapered bar, pro lock on grips on a KTM.

Thanks!

Keefer had mentioned in a podcast that he felt like the pro taper evo sx bars did a good job at dampening vibration compared to the renthal. Not sure compared to a Mika though. Some guys used to fill there bars with silicone. Some said helps, some believed simply placebo effect. I also felt like lock on grips had something to do with it for me. Again could be in my head. So I went to full waffle glue on type grips. At least for me, I felt like there was an improvement.

Ditch the lock on grips for some regular grips.. and switch over to some Pro Tapers. Your hands will thank you after your next ride!

To bulky for some but try pro taper pillow top grips and a pro taper bar. Crank balancing would be the next step as mentioned.

Could be a combo. Easy fixes are pro taper evo bars. A good trick is to fill the outside edge with a bit of silicone instead of the nickel tape trick. Also you may be dealing with some nerve issue of your getting tingling over a period of time. May want to see if your into all purchase alleviates this, if it doesn’t I would check out a specialist.

I second getting away from lock on grips. Pro taper pillow tops wear quick but help a little bit.

Mako mounts. There is a reason most people run them, especially east coast GNCC.

Y'all are awesome! I was thinking the lock on grips were the reason, mako mounts are next...

Thank y'all!

Flex bars
I'll 2nd that...you never realize how much Flexx bars help until you jump onto another bike w/o them. Crazy difference...

I had the same problem.

Some bars, especially KTM stock Neken or similar bars transmit a lot of engine vibration to the rider, but some of it is the extremely rigid upper clamp. Also the upper motor mounts could be loose or need a shim if you have a 450.

Like others have stated, the combo of Faastco inserts and pro taper Evo series Handlebars took away most of the vibration, when I transitioned to the WP split triple clamp it went away completely on my 2021 450 sxf .

Like others said, the xc gear mako 360 mount. Hands down the best part you can buy to kill vibration. Other things will help but you’re really just wasting your time and money trying them. A little pricey but worth every penny. It also makes your bike feel like the suspension just magically got a lot better.

X2. I have bad carpal tunnel and I’ve tried everything: flexx bars with those anti vibration inserts in them, rubber bar mounts. The mako 360 is by far the best in my opinion. Plus you can run your bar bend. Link xcgear.com

Another option is a can of expanding foam insulation.

Renthal Kevlar grips paired with Protaper EVO bars seem to reduce the engine vibration to zero on my 125.

Fasst co Flex bars with vibration inserts. Good grips will help as well.

Spray some expanding foam inside the handlebars and frame near the stem. Did this to my 98 Cr250. It helped out a bit. This was a Factory Honda trick when the aluminum frames came out.

twisted development carbon fiber handle bars. The stiffer ones are best for mx. Vibration is gone.

I switched up my primary ride from an 01 CR250R to a ‘19 TX300. The counter balanced 300 is amazingly smooth. The CR did a number on my hands and feet. If you are on a non counter balanced bike make the switch. It’s so much better.

I have neken sfh bars and love them, no problems with neken. I don't see how those pdhs bar mounts are not a gimmick, what do they let the bars come loose and that helps vibration? I don't want my bars loose. Either the bars are clamped down or not I don't see how they work. A few mx parts are pure gimmick, idk if the pdhs mounts are a gimmick or not
