Do you think he could have got back in position for the title? Would have been fun as hell watching him try...

Yes, it would have been fun to watch. He recovered fairly quickly and had a decent amount of time left. Really sucks for him, but hopefully, he will be back stronger than ever.

100% . He didnt loose that much time from the fall. Just a bent up bike. The possibility was definitely there to win the championship for sure

Stand in front of the bike with tyre between your legs, grab the handlebars, twist.
The "kick the shit out of the front wheel" method somewhat worked.. so AC could have acheived straight bars himself out on the track

The bike took a direct hit to the bars and bent the crap out of a set of twinwall Renthals. Not an easy task. No way could you straighten those bars. Yes the front end was twisted but the bars were mangled. If it was outdoors, he may have been able to limp around the track. In SX it's game over. Too dangerous to go even at a mediocre pace.

A Fork Tube would bend it back in 2 seconds
Or any 4 foot long pipe that fits over the bar and grip

I just watched his GoPro and damn man.. the smallest mistake costed him. Barely clipped that tuff block.

He was almost last with 2:30 to go when he got to the mechanics, a new bike wouldn’t have been enough.

He barely hit that tuff block but that small mistake costed him, I was hoping he was going to charge back but just wasn't enough with the broken lever and bent handlebars

You never know but he had only one point the position he was in and Vegas is hard to pass.

Glances at the tower, see's the running order and makes that mistake in the next section. Feel for AC..

Yeah they could have - scaffold pole off the podium would have done it. Thinking about it I don’t know if I’d want my son running race speed with bars that were bent and then bent back like that. But then again he doesn’t get paid to ride motorcycles.

Seeing Adam ride the rest of the race out was the coolest thing I’ve seen this season. He lost the race, knew he had no chance, probably a million things flying around in his head and none of them good, but he kept going. In an era of dipshits bombing the beach hoping their video goes viral my hat is off to the man. That is the way it’s done.

No doubt. Maybe he should have backed off just a tad. Never thought he was over his head tho like some people have suggested

So, how did you do. I got enough points that I should be solidly in the top 100, probably would have been top 20 or 30 if I hadn't picked Mosiman on accident.

I should be top 50. I didn’t have to good of a Vegas round. I was debating on putting Marv in 2nd and coop in 3rd but I had coop in 2nd and Marv 3rd. And bowers was my wild card. Which I was gonna put chiz but I didn’t lol. It was a fun year tho!

Bummer, so close. I had 3, 16, 25, 94, 2 with my wildcard go to Ben Lamay who finished one spot better than I needed him to.

Because those are just easily available on a supercross track.

2nd paragraph from Johnny Lock is spot on...how many others would’ve pulled off or thrown the bike down and stormed off. Character still counts, and AC’s got it. Well done.

I'm surprised nobody has posted the Magoo pic yet.

I don't think straightening aluminum bars is like straightening the old steel bars. I think they would be likely to break (or brake, since this is Vital).
