It's risk vs reward and for most of the guys lining up it's not worth it. Off season event isn't worth risking screwing up and being out for part of/all the SX season. SX is what's important.
it’s not a sx championship but he still has his endurocross championship to worry about

So does super enduro and endurocross both include massive rock boulders, water pits, wood logs, massive tractor tires, etc. or is that only in super enduro? They have to be different somehow if they're two different disciplines.

For some reason I always thought endurocross was through trails and stuff similar to GNCC.
GNCC is just wide open trail riding, with steep hills and occasionally a pro ama motocross track thrown in the 12 mile loop.

So it's the exact same thing but on different continents? Got it.

How many different disciplines exists in the off-road side of the moto world? Endurocross, Super Enduro, Extreme Enduro, GNCC, ??? I've heard the term hard enduro before but I think that's just a different word for the Erzberg like stuff. Is the 6 days ISDE event simply an enduro event?

MX/SX pretty simple to follow and easy to tell them a part.

I know what GNCC is and that in runs in a loop. Dealer we used to buy bikes from used to race those types of events.

I was just trying to get a better understanding on the differences between endurocross and super enduro. I don't follow the off-road side of MX so the terms are a little bit confusing. It sure seems like there's a lot of different disciplines for an individual to compete in.

Haaker used to race MX and SX, didn't he? I'm sure he's having a blast at an event like this.

But the way Hanny did it on the 450 was just incredible. It didn't even look like he was doing anything impressive the way he hit it effortlessly.
