Let's ignore the other threads full of silliness, get to to the point, Kyle Goerke, Matt Goerke's younger brother needs your help, needs everyone's help
He's in a terrible situation and he will be lucky if he doesn't lose the leg. From my understanding, he basically smashed everything from the knee down, including ankle and foot. It's almost as if his lower leg exploded.
The Goerke's are good people, and they're not some rich well-to-do spoiled kid family, Dad is a firefighter and, honestly, I don't remember what Mom is doing at the moment.
Kyle could really use the help, so go dig in the seat cushions, probably needs it anyway, throw out the Cheetos and Dorito crumbs, and donate the rest to Kyle to help him out, because whether he keeps or loses that leg, it's going to be an expensive operation followed by therapy and more.
Help them out, please

There was some pretty nasty photos of his leg on there, but I guess they removed them.

I'm not sure that line needs to be in there
Help or don't, but there's no need to come trash up a thread to help a good family that needs it.
The Shop
I wasn't attempting to trash anything up.
I only said it as a means to help.
I met the family years ago at Lake Whitney. They're the type of family that raised their kids right while taking them to the races. A true moto family and a model of how a family can raise kids correct and become closer through racing.
I've donated what I could and hope others will do the same.
I remember when I Kyle was riding Matt's KX60 for the first time at Pax Trax. He had only rode 50's at this point, so his dad stuck him in first gear and off he went. I then showed Kyle how to shift and he was rippin' around the pits grabbing gears WFO.
He'll be back rippin' soon enough.
Wishing him the best and a speedy recovery.
I didn't see the crash, only him on ground after.
I did see him in a wheelchair at Daytona, and you could see by the way his foot was positioned in the external fixator, it's pretty fucked.
Even by that point, which was two week later, if I remember right, it was still too swollen to do any initial surgeries.
Get well Kyle want to at least see you back out there cashing in on the local money races again! It was always fun to watch you ride.
Almost $3500 in one day!
But don't forget, don't let it fall to the wayside....tell your friends, post on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere
Share with your friends
Share the wealth of your good health with someone who can use it about now
Pit Row
You've met the goal, but you know it's not enough, so keep telling your friends!
Kyle had a positive attiude considering the potential of a life changing circumstance...
The plan is to save it, but everyone knows that may not happen and there may not be a lot of warning.
But back to what I really wanted to convey, for both myself and for the Goerke family, Thank you.
Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts for all of, not only your contributions, but for your well wishes and prayers.
Kyle is looking down a long dark path, no matter which way it goes, but he'll go down that path knowing people like you, his extended motocross family, genuinely cares.
Dave, if you organize a ride day or a riding school by a group of pro riders, count us in.
The DeVillo Family
In the future feel free to drop me an e-mail w/ a link...otherwise it could take my stupid-ass FOREVER to get on-board (it's my 2014 Silly-Season).
Dave, I'm Grateful to be part of your Pro-Moto-Help-League & I'm proud of the things you've done for our sport & ALL the athletes you've helped.
Thank you,
Manny
Big money there, kids.
Katoomey seems like a tight ass, and I'm talking as tight as a fishes ass, and that's water tight.
