It's too bad he never got to write his book.

Steve and I grew up about 45 miles apart in south Alabama and shared a lot of the same friends (Joey Bruer, Audie Ward, Joe Hildalgo) and went to a lot of the same tracks (Ft. Rucker, True Grit) back in the 70's. I was proud that someone from that area had a chance to chase his dream and do what he wanted. He was good at what he did and always had a good take.

Can you imagine how his head would explode in the Trump era? LaughingLaughing

He is missed.

Mine too, it was a sad day when he left the sport and a sadder day when he passed. TFS was a good guy!

Met Steve a few times and yes he could be stubborn when he wanted. Seat bouncing thread comes to mind. RIP Steve.
