The old Mototalk days were great times. Teefus loved to argue... Seat bounce, Strobe Gate, he even wanted to debate if Osama Bin Laden accepted God right before he was killed. Good times. I never heard what he passed from, natural causes, etc... A lot of fun back then.

Met Steve at Steel City - '96 or '97 I think. He was covering the race with a little digital camera. The top guys at that time (Buckley, Hoppen, Ockert, et al) were still shooting film and it had to be rushed to the airport to make the Monday afternoon publishing deadline. He really embraced the technology early on and we ended up covering a lot of races together. Good times.
