I've heard over and over that they want to sign a big name. Who do they get? Who would fit in over there?

Not a "Big" name but I'd like to see Soubeyras on that team again.

You'd have to think that after the factory teams are all set and the game of musical chairs stops, they would be able to get some of the guys still available.

Bogle, Bowers, Craig, Weimer, Grant, Cunningham, Schmidt...

I could see Bogle fitting there.... already familiar with the Zook, just needs an injury free year. Would be a good fit

Evgeny Bobryshev is a big name.
so is Jussi Pekka Vehvilainen.

Hopefully one of those two get a look in, much bigger names than anybody racing MX in the US at present.

Are they SX only for 19?

I think they started the MX Nationals but stopped going. Cunningham is getting bike transported by JGR.

The team was SX only so...hiring riders without any major Supercross experience is kind of counter productive...

I was referring more to the literal size of their names, ie. making a joke.

But I agree with your point

I would really like to see them do even better next year based on the support they gave Soubeyras after Josh Hansen left him stranded w/o a ride. Seems like a bunch of good guys.

A team of Bogle, Cunningham, Weimer could be enough name recognition to land some decent sponsorship. Maybe take a chance on a fan favorite, a young gun without all of the pieces yet, or even Mookie! Just put some riders on the team with current Suzuki experience, give them support and decent bikes, and put those yellow bikes on the gate!

I hope Bogle is not going there's because he's way too good at MX to not have a team there. Remember, last year he won a race and was quite a few times in the front. (for longer than a couple laps)
I could see someone like Reed going there because he wants a SX only contract

I'm surprised the OP hasn't answered that for you. He appears to know more about the HEP team than he's letting on in this thread...

Within a field that was quite more stacked than some of the previous years due to attrition, I think they did more than great this year, with most of the time 3 riders in the main around the top 15, just after the factory teams.

Of course I hope Soubeyras ride for them again ; he already rode for them, he is still suzuki, specialized in sx, and delivered very decent results for a full "rookie" year in the US, got good press for suzuki from his US results in europe too. He was not far from the top 10 several times too, so that should be the goal to join the top 10 top 12 group. I see him as an asset for the team, if he is the fastest it is pushing all the riders to get to that speed, and if there is a lead rider faster than him coming from a transfer I really think he can get to that speed too as he is very technical.
