He was mentioned last night and was wondering what He's been up to.Does he still run a track in OKC?One of my Fav's.Dude could whip.
It was a small black and white pic in one of the mags, think it was in an interview of him.
That dude was core, and as real as it gets.

The photo of him sky high on the bmx was definitely in DIrt Bike. I have every single dirt bike mag from March '91, will have a look for it when I've got a chance and scan both photos in.
The approach to it on the other hand, holy shit.

I was at San Jose,Ca. Sx , the night Doug Dubach won in 1991, Guy Cooper led until 2-3 laps to go, when Jeff Matiasevich, who was in 2nd, tried a very aggressive block pass on Guy, that took both of them down.
He also almost won the one and only AMA supercross held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma but once again fell just short and him and Chicken battled in that one too.
If memory serves me correctly he did win a supercross race overseas or at least an overall for the two day program.
Back before he turned pro watching him race a KX 500 at the local races was quite a site also.
Thanks.
Guy and Wanda are doing well last I heard from them. They have a little girl who is probably around 4 by now and is super cute.
Guy sold Cooperland around 02 or so to a family from indiana. I think Reid was their last name. Then they sold the track to Kris Brown and he did an amazing job with it. Kris sold it a couple years back to a guy from Arkansas. I've heard rumor of Guy possibly getting the track back though, which would be the best thing that has happened there since Kris left. Hopefuly it's true!
Guy is still the man. Him and his brother, chuck both are still crazy fast on a track and maybe even faster In the trees.
My pops use to paint his helmets back in the day when he rode Supercross and outdoors, so we have known each other for quite awhile.
I still wanna hear a podcast! Matthes?? Maybe dmxs??
