Just curious to your riding experience? Did you race, ride for fun? Moto, trails, or another type of riding? Or have you just been a fan of the sport?

I do not mean to speak for him, but he was a factory badass in the BMX world before mastering the fly-shutter. Hit the search feature----there are some very cool pics of the bossman in another thread.
RacerX/Matthes did a podcast with GuyB (Steve Giberson) back in '09. Worth a listen.

He's psychosomatic, he can make bikes throw their riders off and do donuts on the ground just by lookin at them.
Just say'n.
Well, let's just say there's a reason it's good that ML does our bike and product testing.
I've ridden and raced a fair amount, and I'd say I qualify as terribly slow...on a good day. My earliest races were in the mid-70s, and most recent maybe six years ago.
I've owned everything from an XR80 (fun trail riding in the San Bernardino mountains) to a Hannah-era YZ250, and most recently an RM-Z250.
As others have mentioned, a lot of my background involved BMX, and after that, mountain biking. I was around for a lot of the formative days of both of those sports. The good news is, I get what it takes to go fast, but the bad news is that a lot of my technique is based there.
Nice. I was just curious and when I googled "Guy B bio motocross vitalmx" it just came up with the short about me from the site section of your profile.
Less you have ridden better moto journalist you are. Not to name but some old moto journalist have hit their head too much and that effects little too much...

I remember him in all Vision gear snapping shots, or hanging out at the Tower of Love event. He has been around forever.
Gibby is oldschool in many ways. From the Scott race-face era, to Mongoose bikes with Webco wheels to snappin pix of sprints with a strobe damn near standing on the race surface, the guy is 100% OG.
"We don't rent pigs."
No problem, god's voice is No. 29 on the sports most influential people in SX/MX. Which, in turn, morphed into a discussion on Vital...car washes, naps, pizza, rockets....it doesn't really matter. This place sometimes. As good old Yogi would say, "If there's a fork in the road, take it."
Aside from his multiple Hell Track wins, he was teammates with Cru Jones. He also spent a few seasons on the Mongoose team with Bart Taylor and the Reynolds twins.
