I've always meant to post this - this is one of my dad's old-school riding buddies (who he still rides with today) taken in the late 60s? (right?).
Tell me this isn't one of the coolest moto photos you've seen. Shirt open, open face helmet and throttle to the stop.
This is Gary Milnes from rural Illinois, photo taken by Tom Montgomery. The cool thing is, all of these guys still ride together quite a bit, and I get the opportunity to meet up with them at our annual trip to Taylor Park in Colorado. And they all are still pretty damn fast.

The Shop
I started out on a Yamaha MX100. It was a good 1st bike. They were all white back then. A year later I moved up to a YZ80.
I took the liberty of cleaning it up a bit.
Great shot!
Pit Row
I pull up to the line next to this dude who looked similar to the above cat. His buddy was holding his bike while he smoked a cig staring down the first turn. He glared at me while I shook a bit in my boots. Luckily, my 500 got the start and I didn't have to worry about him until the 2nd moto.
And great story wildbill.
.......Jim, I knew you could could clear up any history as far as time lines and what bikes.
Thanks for the great photos fellas.
