emig was also #8, albertyn #8 etc etc..... the number 8 was held by alot of great riders

Was it Grant Langston that said he was happy about getting the number 8 on his KTM because he would always be able to identify his bike after a crash whether its upside down or right way up. I though that was a good call.

And GL is and was a great rider, and an even better ambassador for the sport.

X2 one of the greats, coming from South Africa no less, only rider to win all 4 125 titles available, and even gave Stewart a run at Southwick I believe. I think he would have given Dungy his moneys worth outdoors if not for his eye cancer.

I'll never forget being at Steel City when he lost the 125 Championship to Mike Brown. Every time he came around that rear wheel got a little worse until it just exploded. He rode that thiing on the edge until it was gone!
