Quick google search and a vital forum background check, this guy seems like a piece of work.

Man I had no idea he had fallen into bad times. He was one of my favorite privateers many years ago. Sad to see this kinda stuff.

I even found the thread where a member on this forum was saying this dude killed his friend. Heavy shit.

Maybe someone can explain more.

Rode the Intermediate class with Grayson for a bit before he turned pro. Was always a decent guy that hung out with Jason Schulz as well. I had heard that he battled drugs for a bit and sad to see anybody waste away for a quick hi.

The rampant drug use is pretty bad in this sport. Just lost a former very good mini rider from around 20 years ago last week due to drugs. Used the excuse of riding injuries to get hooked on opiates....blah blah blah same old shit. Left behind a little one....very sad stuff happening way too often

Me too. My cousin was riding the pro class back then so we used to tag along to all of those tracks when I was starting. I would add Ross Downs and Burleson to that mix.

I remember Goodman had some nice stuff and was really fast! Sucks to see whats happened.

Off topic but is that Thackerville/I-35 in your avatar pic?

Naw a little step up at Murphy’s Mx in RedRock tx. Cool track owned by some lifelong mx buds of mine. Great place if you are ever in the area. Cool

MX is such a high, it's often hard for some guys to find a replacement after their racing days are over. Grayson was good and almost won the Dallas SX in 1990, but crashed out with a big lead. And yeah, he was a big party guy and IIRC he hosted the SX afterparty there in Dallas for a while.

Hope he gets it together....maybe when he gets out of jail, he can go get a haircut with Mike Healey and have a long talk.

Another bad story.

Some of you guys say it's another former mx'er, needed drugs for pain, or to replace the high of racing and all that may be true but the fact is lots of people in all aspects of life are wasting away because of this shit.

Knarly stuff, it's too bad.

I remember looking everywhere for some candy paint plastics for my Honda after seeing his bike. Wasn't he really good friends with McGrath back then? Sad stuff, hopefully he can find a way.

Crystal Meth just fcuks you up. Maybe he could get a walk on part in "Breaking Bad"?

Very sad, his parents and true friends must be devastated!
