Graphics Protection Question

I got a new set of graphics and I was wondering whats the best way to keep the air box/ side plate area clean and from falling off since the boots and leg rubs against it a lot..I tried clear tape but when the tape came off it left all this clear sticky stuff

Scotch bright pads to get rid of scuff marks. But your boots are going to damage to the vinyl no matter what if you're squeezing with your legs.

Only way is don't ride it.
It's impossible to keep them looking new.
Once you've scuffed them up a little, you won't mind.

I found some thin, clear vinyl on Amazon that was pretty cheap. It comes in different sized sheets. Just look around. Read reviews and make sure it's completely transparent. I laid sheets over my shrouds, air box, and side panels and they are holding up nicely.

Stuff like Motul Shine and Go leaves the graphics pretty slick and helps with wear some. But yeah after a while it will wear them no matter what. I wonder if something like clear bra would hold up?

Clear vinyl to put over graphics and/or numbers was their specialty (I think they even had pre cut patterns for different bikes). I know they are a goggle company now but didnt know either way if they still offered other products that they were originally known for. Figured it was a long shot but doesn't hurt to ask.

You might want to try out 3M Polyurethane Protective Tape. They use this stuff on wind turbine blades for protection, seems tough.

Yup, I used 100% on my bikes tanks and my buddy's old CR tanks since they were all white like my old YZ's.
