My son just turned four and he is begging to ride! Got a smoking deal on this pw a few weeks back and he's stoked!

a blue bike, riding upside down, stewart in training? LOL
My son started on a PW50, xmas present when he was 5, we would go to the local shop on a regular basis and he always had to sit on one to see if his feet would touch. We told him "not till you can touch both feet" what a great way to spend time with your kids.

He's got all the gear, we had his first ride in the backyard last weekend. I don't think I've ran that much in a while! He turned about 50 laps in the yard, had to show the wife he'd be ok!

Oh yeah, he picked the number! I would have preferred something different but he loves Stewart! Kids a moto dictionary knows every rider, keeps asking when super cross starts!

Along the same lines.. As much as I would love to get my son who is 5 a PW50, I just don't think he is mature enough yet. I am not totally convinced MX will be his thing and I don't want to be the dad pressuring his kid to do something he is afraid of or might not be interested in. He said he wanted a starter bike and I figure if he is hitting 65' triples on this bad boy by next Xmas I can justify spending significantly more on a 'real' bike. Almost 1/3 of the money spent on this was dressing it up.. LOL. The #100 isn't a Hansen thing, he just likes the number. As much as I like green bikes... He wanted blue. Hopefully his Xmas is everything he wanted:

I sure liked making the number plate backgrounds.. Brings back lots of memories of getting new bikes every year before they had pre-cut versions.

That is rad! Your kid will be stoked. My son started on a battery powered bike that I found searching the net, it looks like a little KTM and we saved that one for our one year old. I've got the throttle limiter turned way down on the pw and its got training wheel for now. I'm sure I'll burn a on of calories chasing after him. Strider bikes really do help with they're balance as well. Merry Christmas!

I am like you, I have a 2 year old on his tails who is fearless. Having kids a little older (for me @ 38) has been great exercise! :D Definitely worth hanging on to the stepping stone bike like you have for the younger ones. Since your son already has the bike, might as well get the GoPro for Xmas... Tell the wife all the kids have them nowadays and you don't want your son feeling like a dork for not having one.

That's cool, man.

Two weeks ago, we gave this bad boy to my nephew for his 4th birthday:

I wish we had a set of trainer wheels for it though - just until he gets a feel for the brakes and throttle. He has had a strider bike for a few years (which he is a boss on), but I don't think he quite has the balance for the JR yet. For the time being, we are sitting behind him to balance and steer it.
