On one side, you have a level of WFO badassedness as never seen before and on the other a level of commitment as never seen before. And yes it did make for some great racing.

Those were some great races, that's for sure. I'm thankful to have seen them duel in person, as well as being glued to every race on TV.

Last I saw those two ride was in the mud at Millville..
#4 lapped the field.. :-)

He lapped the field because everybody was stuck...Good thread Bobby, you know they raced each other, but when you look at those pics, you KNOW they raced each other, none of this padding points bullshit...Could you imagine eating that roost off RC's tire?..

Yep awsome stuff I keep jumpin back and forth between this and big Lens rare photos . I've always had a problem just starin at every detail of good mx photos over and over . Keep me comin if ya got em.

Youre right Lenny, its easy to see why RC has so much respect for J$7 and to this day speaks highly of James and his ability. I often wonder if RC couldve achieved what he did without James forcing him to reach higher - and vice versa for James. No disrespect to the 38 other badasses at the gate, but those two were in a total different level and pushed each other.
