What was left of them! Shame about the bad luck to riders from all countries but still some awesome racing!

agreed!

such a shame cairoli was unable to race, was really looking forward to seeing him and RV/RD battle it out

I agree. It was great to get some pressure from the world championship riders and see what they can do!

Yep. Since no other team apart from France was in with a realistic shot - I think seeing how some of the top AMA and GP boys match up (even for just one event) is a huge part of the draw that this race creates. It was interesting for sure.

Yep, some good rides!

Bobyshev is the GP guy that I think stood out the most this weekend for MX1 guys, despite his bad luck in moto #1 or his finishes. He was a great starter both days and carried some good speed at the beginning of the motos and had a lot of fight in him.He kept RV & RD honest in that 3rd moto for a while there.
It would be interesting to see what he could if his fitness was top shelf (it seemed he might have gotten a bit fatigue).

I would love to see him come over for a national sometime and see what kind of results he could put in.

Paulin in that MX2 MX3 race killed it!

As proud as I am of my fellow Americans, I have nothing but the greatest respect for all the top motocrossers, where ever they are from.

Say I'm butt kissin', however any of these teams are capable of winning on any given day.

We were fast (the best America had to offer), we were the luckiest (no mechanical failures, etc.), we were well prepared and we were victorious. That's it.

Hats off to all the World Championship contenders, and good luck next time around.

Why that's a very decent and civil reply there sir! And I have the upmost respect for your Championship Contenders too,in all honestey I can say too that there are some amazingly talented riders on both sides of the pond and we all saw a great race today,I'm positive that hardly anyone went without their stomach turning upside-down at some point and their heart rate racing, and this is why we love it. The USA won after all the ups and downs, and twists and turns, well done to them, great job guys, see ya next year Smile

I'd love to see some of those fast GP guys in AMA for a whole season....tell me it wouldn't be the best racing ever if any one of a dozen guys were a threat to win at every race.

i think that track conditions leveled the field a bit.......
that kind of hardpack is not used on us racing, they work all tracks to be loamy and always have traction......
in europe they let it be natural a lot more, so saturday it was all soft and usriders were at ease. but sunday especially with the rain it got hard and very slick is spots and it showed that usriders were backing off a little, bagget even strouggled a bit.....and thats when the euros were at their best.......last moto it was kind of dry already and usa got an easy 1-2......
i was gled to see the ryans at their best, i grew up watching mx and admiring the great us riders and their teams....but i was also proud to see the euro riders, specially the young, fighting for the wins and putting up a battle, there was a time where usa won easy.......
so in the end i am proud to be a mx fan......it was an hell of a race....motocross grows on races like that one...!!!!
