On a street bike forum I'm on this was posted it's very popular with those guys.
Harbor Freight has these on sale for $299 I'm getting old I'm tired of bending over and hard to see. I've got some chain and sprockets to change out on my street bike soon, will be much easier now.
It's a game changer....?
Sale is good to the end of July.
Be prepared the crate is real heavy.
They tried to charge me 400 but I told them I had the book at home and I was a good to go.
$284 on 8/16.
Yeah I know they're not as good as the commercial ones but those can be as much as $1,000.
Oh and while I was there in the line they had these for $11.99 metric, standard/Metric size Mini - box wrenches.
You might be saying to yourself big fuckin deal! ?
My buddy had these in his front pocket of his vest and I had a problem on a trailride and he whipped these out attached to a carabiner and I was fixed and good to go in 5 minutes worked flawlessly.
No taking off your pack and digging around for 10 minutes.

Gives the ability to tear down to a bare frame if you want.
Side note...we use the HF ATV lifts at work to load stuff into the missions bays. We install brackets on the base for whatever we need to lift. We did warp the arms on a particularly heavy piece but in general they get the job done.
I haven't used this lift but I know a guy from work that uses it for his full dresser...he loves it.
The Shop
HBF has scratch and dent units, call around and ask about the "damaged" units and negotiate the price. You can get them for around $150 brand new with a smashed (common) box that you may have to bend a bit to be perfect.
I would pay more and get the air one
Sorry, op.
Pit Row
My only complaint is the little caster wheels are garbage. I had to put some larger ones on.
I'm sure it serves a good purpose to some, but not me.
It also says "do not lift until you remove the plug and check the fluid".
Mine was near empty. So I went to Home Depot got some fluid and put it in with the lift in the full down position. This made for putting the plug back in a real PITA as there was limited room to maneuver the plug! Ended up trimming the rubber plug to fit and now it's all buggerd up!
Will try to find an alternative like a cork plug, was surprised it didn't leak with the damaged plug.
But so far so good and this is a game changer for sure, it will make working on bikes FUN again!

I have a pneumatic Handy lift and use this to lift the rear or front of the bike. You'll need to secure either the front or the rear when using this scissor lift, but it works great. Been using it for 8-9 years now.
I wish I would have gotten one in 2018 when they were $299. They are $599 now. I paid $400 for mine off of Marketplace yesterday. They go pretty fast, usually within a couple hours.
I bought one in 14 with a magazine super coupon for $249. The look on the managers face. It is heavy.
I bought a Handy about a month back while the wife was out of town.
So far, very pleased with having a lift. Way better working on a bike than previously and can handle this heavy beast
We replaced the jack on ours like 5 years in and its been good. Do yourself a favor, take the back ramp off and just stack up a couple 2x4's, then use the piece of metal for a future welding project. Makes it easier to run around the back of the lift without messing yourself up on the ramp.
