I'm up in Wisconsin for work for the next 2 weeks and realized that Spring Creek is this weekend. It's just under a 4 hour drive, so I'm going to make the trip. I haven't been to a national since the first year they ran Freestone.
Anyone here going or have been in the past? Looking for tips and what to expect out there. Where are the better areas to watch?

Thanks

You pretty much have to pick if you wanna see the whole track, or just the whoops. Either side, seating on the hill is solid, you’ll be able to see the majority of the track(excluding the whoops), also like any track standing along the sides of the start are awesome or across from the track on the infield so they’re coming right at you. Millville has a decently long start so it’s impressive to see the speed.

If your up for it, make the trek to the top of Mount Martin, it’s insane to see in person, I believe the only one taller is Mt. Saint Helen at Glen Helen. Washougal Horsepower Hill I believe is slightly longer but doesn’t go as high.

Make the trip the whoops for at least part of a moto. They aren’t as big or long as they used to be but still cool to watch for a bit.

Parking sucks, plan on sitting there for a bit after if you’re in a hurry to get out. Otherwise the facility is pretty top notch of the ones I’ve been to, but I might be a bit biased since I’m from Minnesota.

Have a good time and Enjoy the “Minnesota nice” Experience.

Might not be as crowded this year, buy tickets online - http://millvillemx.com/

If you are up for it make the hike all the way around the track including Mt Martin.

I have a permanent campsite right by the "beach"

Cool to watch starts and whoops on overlook between Chad-a-pult and whoops. Then work you way up to Mt Martin for uphill triple and then over to see riders blitz the same downhill. Can continue around track with numerous close /good viewing spots. Best overall view of track is on knoll on downhill side of collarbone, or even on large hill in front of Holy Schmidt... you can see a large portion of track from there

You're in freaking Mankato ! I know a family north of you just off of 169 in Belle something or other... dad says his kid was national bla bla ktm bla bla champ or something. I quit listening ...

Get new friends.
Good luck Sunday if you're racing AM day. 👍

Going to the race and this track for the first time. Based on what I have seen on TV it has to be one of the top 2 or 3 tracks in the world IMO. Excited to see it in person. Just a friggin 200 foot tall hill in Minnesota will be a sight to behold! Anyone know how many tickets they are actually going to be selling? I bought tickets for my boys and I when they first went on sale just to be safe, but did not know if they were actually limiting sales. It would be cool to have a big crowd, but alot easier to get around if the crowd is small. Excited either way...

Millville is the best. The Martin family and the facility itself are both top notch as they come. I love attending and riding the track is second to none if you ever get the chance.

I’ll be there with my dad and brother. Have been more times than I can recall starting in ‘89 at 4 years old. Looking forward to a lighter crowd, although it was fairly sparse last year.

That crazy storm that rolled through scared a lot of people off last year, I think.

I planned on going but I had a little off at a race 4weeks ago today. Spent over a week in hospital but I am improving some each day. Just a better idea, just I will return next year. Things are good for me though!

You're gonna love it. Move around. You've got four motos to watch. Those hills are big. you;re gonna be whipped at the end of the day.

Youre right. Good stuff. I won't stay out too late, but the first round is on me if you are in the area.

I must have bought the last one, sorry. I bought three the day they were first available and bought a fourth one at about 10pm the night before the race.

No they cut off the online registration at midnight(depending on time zone). Then They sold tickets at the gates. Nowhere near the limit this year, although it wasn’t a bad crowd all things considered.

Don't forget to ritually cleanse yourself in the waters of Spring Creek. Wash your moto sins away!

I should’ve used more sarcasm in my post.
