what you are talking about is the 'gauge' feature (gps/speed/etc). you handle that in editing, using their Quick app:

you should be able to get that in any blacks that have gps, should work on 5/6/7 hero's

Yes.
1, Enable GPS in the settings in your GoPro
2. Make sure the GPS Icon in the top left of the screen is illuminated before you start recording.
3. Go out there and shred, bro.
4. Plug your GoPro into your computer, and pull open the GoPro QUIK app. (Download it on GoPro's website if you dont already have it).
5. Select your video file and then click the gear icon at the bottom. This will allow you to add the telemetry widgets to the video.
6. Export the video so the telemetry saves overlaid on your video.
7. Upload to youtube and enjoy your 157 views and 3 likes.
