Why would I buy the 5 black over the session? I don't know much about these things at all.

Wider lens and 4K as opposed to standard HD. I just picked up a Session and I have zero complaints. Great quality and half the price.

This is how mine looks after 1 moto at a track with no rocks. Maybe get a screen protector, but those lens covers are fragile. This is the second one it's happened to btw.

Never happened to me and I've had it since it came out

Are people running these things without cases? I ride in a lot of rocks and trees...... seems like a bad idea

I run my session with no case in GNCC's and various other off road races with no issues. I should also mention I mount mine under the visor so the majority of rocks, dirt, etc gets deflected.

Edit: also no screen protector
