Top ten 250 average lap times = 104.2094
450's a bit faster in the desert.

Average of the top ten's fastest lap?

Edit: Baggett had a 102.800 avg. Where are you getting 102.4766 for the Top Ten?

If I was out to organize a race series with different classes, I would certainly want the difference to be more than that. This is one of the biggest spreads I've seen, and the difference to a spectator/ TV viewer is not apparent. Either make them significantly different, or not at all.

To be fair, most elite level sporting has marginal differences between what makes the “best” and the “average”....some AA baseball pitchers can throw 96 mph fastballs.

That being said, 250s are obviously plenty of power these days. I’d like to see displacement change to 250-350 but that will likely never happen.

Just bring back 125s for the lites class and either 250fs or 450s for the premier class. problem solved!

I used the fastest lap from the top ten in each class and averaged off of that.
I also averaged the top ten avg time 450 = 103.599
250 = 105.528
