Great pictures guys brings back a lot of memories.
Our Moto crew had a lot of respect for Mosieev.

Well we all knew what happened to Falta was terribly wrong and it probably was not his idea.

The Russian Federation put all that pressure on him to win the World Championship which he did three times--no small feat.

Look at how they try to cheat with their steroid-induced athletes in the Olympics.

There was something mystical and frightening about the Russian Racers and I believe that's what we liked about them. Cool

With my long-time Moto buddy Jeff Arzouman, we used to play this game called "Russians".

We would practice at places like Indian dunes and Saddleback and we would try to take each other out. Woohoo yeah we were young and crazy and I can't imagine doing that nowadays to that extent, but what it did was really help in a Racing atmosphere.

Because as we all know once the gate drops all hell breaks loose and Racers will take you out in a heartbeat to pass.

RIP Gennady, your place in Motocross History is etched in STONE.

Victor Popenko attacks Jaroslav Foul.
Grand Prix of Switzerland of 250cc. Wohlen 1974.
(The Russians snatched the World of J. Foul)

  The day of infamy.
Or how to steal a world title with the worst arts

Race full of irregularities, we all know that an unregistered rider can not take part in a race and less without having done the statutory trainings on Saturday. For Victor Popenko appeared on Sunday morning without being enrolled or having participated in any of the training sessions and was allowed to take the star in the race. His only mission was that Missing did not finish any moto

.Because the FIM was the house of some caresses, that lived to king's body.
I never understood how such a trap was tolerated.

A representative on the international jury 1964-1982 says; That penalizing the Russians was not possible, most of the members of the jury were Communist countries

About three years ago was the Technical Director of the FIM, there were people who took the issue and told him if you could make an apology to Jaroslav Foul, said he would study the subject, after a couple of months he said that It was impossible, 40 years had passed. Being in the Czech Republic a couple of years ago they confirmed that they had tried it too, without success.

It's been a rough month for world MX GP history. First Carlquist passes away and then Moiseev. Both were champions who I read about in the mx magazines many times. Their successes were admirable but equally so were their ruggedness which contributed to the reputation of that generation of European MX racers. Goodspeed to both. Thanks for the memories.
