Always wondered how much of the Falta fiasco was him or his handlers.

Such a different set of circumstances.

An honest autobiography would be an interesting read.

I wonder if he was ever smiling under his helmet,

Farewell to a moto brother from mother russia

Gukamonster (and others).

That picture of Gennady #2 and the Husky #12 - That's Hakan Carlqvist, isn't it?

2 Greats, gone so closely together.

Great pictures.

RIP.

There's a photo of him in the Brad Lackey book that's pretty awesome. Those old KTMs and Puch's from that era were way powerful supposedly. Rest easy Mr. Moiseev.

The CCCP red jerseys and the White helmet with the red star, classic stuff.

What a great rider he was, the heroes of my childhood Cycle News and Motocross Action are slowly passing.

RIP Mr. Moiseev, enjoy the tracks in Moto Heaven!

After 74 my CZ freak buddy would yell Falta, I guess to himself, during races. Not kidding.

I was born in 79 but as a lifelong student of Motocross I recently studied full 1980s GP results. My initial association is Moiseev as the mysterious Russian World Champion from the mid 70s. What I thought was super cool and interesting to find was that he was scoring GP points as late as 1985 when he would have been about 38 years old!

What an era for the sport. I remember first reading about and seeing pictures of Moiseev in MXA and all of the GP guys were just bigger than life to me. I'm not sure if I saw him race or not back then but RIP to a legend!
