Pardon my ignorance. Or maybe it is age.
I, like many others scan the want ads, craigslist, etc for used dirt scooters. I also check out the bike builds here and elsewhere. Over and over I see people put on a black rear fender. Many times also black rear number plates. What is the attraction of all this black plastic? It is like a uniform for the "my bike is different" crowd.
No judgement on this. I don't mind at all. Just wondering.

Blacked Out = Clapped Out
The Shop
I like it
Everything is going black theses days, simply go to google images and type in Jeep Wrangler. You will see you can even buy them off the lot blacked out. These days your colors are black, white, or some God awful color like teal or lime green. Kids these days suck and unfortunately I'm grouped with them.
Pit Row
Other than that, not a fan of black bikes.
Black plastics can look descent if done right. But most look like late 90's freestyle bros.
