So in the event of Tomac leaving the team (which by all accounts sounds likely)...who takes this spot or does the Geico team flag their 450 effort? What do you think might happen?

Does Mookie get the ride? or Bogle?

And if Geico flag their 450 does HRC have a third rider?

Look for Hahn to be on that 450. Most likely to be fired from Kawi, and has ties with geico (lites champ).

I'd say Malcolm would be the best bet. At Oakland sx, he was on another level aggression wise than the other 250 riders and it showed in practice. Webb almost ran him down.......but he didn't. Mookie offers a very good marketing profile for any team. He is flat out cool. He Is in the hallway at the coliseum running to the bathroom. I watched two crazed fans run up begging for a pic. It was clear he was in a hurry......but he stopped smiled took pics said hi to me.....took his piss....then went out and won like a boss. He will win a 450sx round for sure. As for outdoors.......I think the top guys and guys who will win will be whoever works out the best and who is to say mookie doesn't turn that corner now that he has tasted victory and a win bonus.

It was clear at Oakland that he is too big for a 250f. Reminded me of Millsaps in his 125 days or windham on a 250 two stroke......some guys are just built for( or need) that 450 torque. When ur 200 and Cole seely is 130 pounds the extra power gives the big guys a fighting chance. Is he not as big/ bigger than Wp?

We met Mookie in Atlanta as well as Weston. Mookie seemed bigger.

Also hella cool. I would sponsor that boy in a second. Way good to the fans, great personality.

No Geico 450 riders next year.

"In talking to a lot of different people that would know in the pits it seems that they’re all hearing the Eli Tomac to Kawasaki in 2016 and beyond is basically a done deal. Other people that wear red like to say that nothing is done yet. One thing is for sure:, GEICO Honda won’t be having any 450 riders, so if #3 stays red next year, it will be on the factory team." - Matthes

ok so assuming Tomac is on green as ML512 and others have said he is, then does HRC still have a third rider? And if so less likely to be Mookie but Will Hahn has ridden the factory bike before.

If HRC doesn't land Tomac I wouldn't expect a 3rd rider. Although crazier things have happened and if a 3rd rider came into play I would look at Hahn or Mookie like you said, but also Bogle. I just don't see the reason for them to field 3 riders when they already have 2 that could win multiple races.

Honda's current position is they only want a rider that can win a 450 Main. So if that isn't available, I wouldn't be surprised to only see them run two riders. The Tomac situation was different because of money coming in from two groups and he was basically brought directly under Honda's tent in a attempt to get more direct control over his bike and hopefully keep him happy with the setup. This was done to get him to take his second year option with Honda/Geico.

Also, Trey and Cole have another year on each of their contracts.

Also, Wil Hahn rode a true Geico Honda 450 during his stint as a full-time 450 rider. Unless you're speaking of his fill-in ride at Factory Honda.

thanks mate, yes I was referring to the fill-in ride

oh well only 2 Honda riders in SX next year then. No one else will run Hondas.

Good thing I am seriously looking at a 2016 KXF450 then lol

With the tough time Mookie has had even picking up a 250F ride I see Bogle getting picked over him for Honda.

I hope Bogle can get a decent 450 ride next year. I think he will be able to ride the 450 well.

Is Tomac to Kawasaki really a done deal? Correct me if I'm wrong but Millsaps and Hahn both have 2 year deals. Does Kawasaki have the money to bring in Tomac on top of that and run a team with 3 riders in the 450class?

Bogle has to move up. I'd put money on them doing it, but an in-house job, not full Honda.

Whilst I agree, it's likely Monster, I'd also say, Kawi has fuck you money. Like fuck all of you, everyone else, everyone money.

KHI is no joke.

I don't know Tomac's history. Has he ever been on anything besides a Honda?

Was Suzuki am, did last 2-3 years on Geico Honda... Not sure at Honda's initiative or Suzuki am-team folding up?

Yeah, but Geico let Hahn go last year primarily because they planned on shutting down the 450 program after Tomac left. Obviously they could change that and have Bogle on an FC 450, but I think it's more likely we'll see Bogle on another brand,

Everything I've heard for the past year or so points to no 450s. One major part of it was getting rid of the second semi which housed all the 450 stuff. But considering the owners of the team like to get very involved and help riders, they could help Bogle out and put something together if there isn't a good ride elsewhere for him.

Suzuki at that time hadn't done a am-to-pro contract of that size, they couldn't touch the dollar figure or support level. Eli rode amateur for Geico for about a year-and-a-half before turning pro.

Do you think Husky will have 2 450 riders next year? That could definitely be a possibility for Bogle.

Yes, because they almost grabbed a second guy last year. So I'm sure for 2016 they will bring on another 450 rider.
