What do you consider cheap? Expensive? What is acceptable for you for a set of gear?
Show off your 2017 setup below!

I really love the way the new shift blue label risen gear look (white, not yellow), but 360$ for jersey and pants?! WTF?!

What he said. I think their gear looks amazing, I'm a big fan of the design AND price. Not to mention they have sales going on all the time.

Alias is cheap, too bad that their 2017 collection is in my opinion the weakest they've made for a few years.

I bought a set of the 2017 Thor prime fit. I planned to get Fly gear for the first time in my life but i was disappointed in their 2017 collection. I wish they could make something similar to the 2016 Lite Hydrogen line.

Wait 4 months and it will be cheaper! Wait a year and it will be a lot cheaper.

If you want the newest stuff in any product, if you want to be the first to own something, it's gonna cost you to be that guy!

Personally I buy what I want when I want it, price doesn't mean that much to me.

I didn't mean it like "show off your 2017 model line gear", more like "show off the gear you'll be rockin' this year". I for example got myself a pair of brand new No Fear pants from 2009 model line (or somewhere around that period lol), so I'm not rexactly on time with the trends Smile

With asterisk knee braces I blow through cheap gear so I have to get the better stuff as to not split seams and have enough leather in the knee. I really dig my Answer Alpha gear, the jersey is really comfy with no collar and tapered sleeves and the pants are holding up way better than I'm used to. Clean designs on the Alpha line too and can usually find it discounted.

I do have to say that the pricing on the new Shift gear is really, really high. I thought that Fox FlexAir and its price point was the highest any gear company was willing to go, i guess i was wrong.

Same goes for the most expensive Seven gear with the compression jersey and bib.

Both lines are pushing over 350 bucks.

I got Fox Flexair last year after years of swearing off that brand. I couldn't stand Fox in general due to the quad-tards that wore Fox and super posers.

I am completely hooked now. It looks like last years Flexair is now 17's 360 gear... so I'm thinking of getting a set of that. It'll be around $225 for a full set im thinking. Thats a bit pricy, but my god do I love that blue gear pictured below.

I've been looking at the white Shift gear too. I was contemplating getting the Blue label expensive jersey and the cheaper Shift white pants. If they're the same white I don't think anyone would know the difference.

Here's my Shift combo I'm thinking of doing the mix and match with. If someone could confirm the colors are close I'm going to do it... and could work for you too OP!

Are those Alpinestars Tech 5's? If so how do you like them? Thinking of picking up a pair but worried they'll be too soft, stuck between them and the tech 7s and trying to not spend an arm and a leg if I can avoid it.

They are the Tech 5's, and I honestly love em. I've only had them since October of last year, but I've raced a bunch in them (both MX and GNCC) and they handled everything well, and they're comfortable on days that I'm just riding, whether on the track or in the woords. I don't think they're too soft, and I'm a big fan of how they fit. They look damn good too.

Yeah the 2016 Lite Hydrogen was one of the best looking gear sets of 2016!

The 2017 Lite Hydrogen looks like the 2015 Lite Hydrogen, not good compared to 2016!

Look at O'neal gear. Great pricing and real durable and looks pretty good. I wear the Troy Lee GP Air gear because in SoCal its warmer all year long. Plenty of knee room and last a long tie and great colors.

I had a good look at Alpha gear last week, especially the pants.
I've had a hard time with pants and some of the light materials wearing or tearing after a ride or two.
This Alpha gear looks to have some of the best made pants I've seen for a while

Why does it matter to have current year colors and designs? Closeouts for the win.

It really doesn't. But most of my gear gets worn out in one riding season and i have always been a gear junkie.

And i never pay full retail for gear.

Gear prices are ridiculous now. I kind of see the expense in good quality trousers but a paper weight jersey for £70 doesn't cut it for me. Had astars, found quality terrible, now on one industries. Quality a little better but it was half the price, full kit for £60. Don't care what it looks like rather spend money on keeping the bike running. my knee braces tend me shred up trousers quickly anyway no matter what I use

2017 Fly Kinetic gear
Fly F2 Carbon helmet
100% Accuri goggles
Leatt GPX 5.5 neck brace and Adventure Lite chest protector
A* Tech 7 boots

I bought an all new "kit" this off season. But most of it I already have in another color. I have another Fly F2 helmet, and another pair of Tech 7 boots. This stuff works well for me and doesn't break the bank.

I'm probably gonna order a set of Alias gear soon. Looks great for the money.

Next season gear, you got it! We arrived home with my son. we were buying him new boots, and i found these! Laughing

So this is my combo for 2017!

To anyone interested in the new Shift Blue Label gear: Make sure you feel it first.

Last weekend I got to see it in a store for the first time...it feels cheap as hell. Super thin and kind of rough on your skin.

If that gear is where things are headed I need to buy stock in Thor Core and Fox 360 gear now.

Im rocking my 2015 Fox, 2015 Thor vented, and probably some new 2017 Alias gear. The newer vented gear looks awesome IMO.
