Would it be possible to add some
Kind of gear indicator
Like an electric one of some kind ?
I have a 2003 CR125
But i guess just in general for any bike
I seen to wonder what gear im in all the time and it bugs me, there are times where i will drop down to 1st in a corner on purpose, when i dont need to just to make sure i know what gear im in , i think a gear indicator would help me ride better , has there ever been such a thing ?
Anybody else feel that way ?

You shouldn’t have to know which number gear you’re in as long as you know it’s the right one, if that makes sense. In every section of the track, every lap, I can tell if I’m in the right gear or not and it doesn’t matter if it’s 3rd, 4th, 5th etc. if it feels right and I’m putting the power down and hitting my marks idc what gear it is. If bikes had an indicator I’d never look at it and probably take it off, it’s all feel.

It could only help, more data is better. Would be nice to know what your engine rpms, rear wheel rpms, trans gear are during certain track sections, overlay with lit pro data, all viewable in a heads up display in your goggles like iron man has ?

For what it's worth, if anything, I never look at the display on my Alta to see the power map number or mph. If my gas bikes had a display idk if I would look. If I haven't been riding enough sometimes I'll do the shift to 1st to make sure I'm in the right gear hitting a risky obstacle.

Maybe for a beginner but for experienced riders it's just added weight.

Why does it matter? Be in whatever gear gives you the RPMs you need.

Focus ahead and not at gadgets, bang the dog poop out of the gears...you won't hurt them.

Yup, you feel it. Ashley Fiolek is the perfect example. I believe she was born deaf and she can sure as hell ride.

Practice, practice and more practice.
