I think it's a pretty cool idea great entertainment while the main classes are not on the track. if they get a good combination of retired pros and upcoming kids that could be pretty fun to watch. It's too bad we only have one up here in Washington at Washougal but it is what it is.

I race 4 strokes but also love riding our 2 strokes. I don't think anyone really gives 2 shits about the "125 series". Most of us just wish the sport (those that actually race at the hobbyist level and pay for everything themselves) was doing better.

We have a neighborhood kid who is 13. His families income is probably around $75,000/yr. He knows more about pro mx than us. Hangs out in our garage always eager to help. We take him to races and ride days. He has zero chance of ever owning a bike and racing. That is the only reason I care about a 125 series. That kid is praying for a chance to ride someday.

The so called 2 stroke taliban seem to be the only people who want the sport (those who buy their own bikes, parts and gear) to prosper.

I hope China can save this sport and come out with affordable bikes for hobbyists. Lord knows the $10,000 Alta is not the answer.

Hey the bottom line is that 125's provide a vital (get it..?) link to entry level participation in our sport. It has everything-it teaches you how to ride a bike, is far less likely to kill you, and won't cost you a ton of cash when you fuck something up (forget to add oil to your gas for example, or don't oil your filter, or any of those other beginner mistakes we all made riding and working on our own bikes). I loved the racerx footage and loved the sound and feel of all of it. Stripping away all of the emotion attached, it is a critical link to motocross athlete development. That kid that won hauled ass, and it was so nice watching him guide that KTM around Hangtown full tilt-that was some nice skill and finesse there. They do need to find their way back at a pro level somehow, some way imho.

As far as riding my CR250 goes, I’m over it. Thoroughly hooked on my dinosaur ‘07 Big Bore Zook. Watching some fast 125 pilots tear it...

I’m all for 2 strokes...but can the small ones be 150, 167cc, something. Lilliputians ride 125’s. Normal sized humans need more cc’s!

How many 2 stroke fans actually went and watched at hangtown and plan on goin to the other ones? Now is the chance, no excuses.
I’m planning on going to High Point just because of the 125 race. Really looking forward to it. If a friend of mine son gets picked for Budds Creek I’m planning on going there too.

apply this to SX instead of ktm 50's , stupid Instagram pics and fools putting on riding gear over their clothes .
a perfect feeder class into SX with an age limit of say 18 no ex pros ETC.

How about get the Pros, retired pros and Ex National champs, out of Loretta's and tell-em 125 races or nothing.

i think races like add to the excitement at a national level event, the british championship has been running them for the past couple of years and it's just a different style riding and you can't beat the sound of a pack of two strokes wide open!
