I was lucky enough to witness that huge jump, everyone looked at each other in disbelief, on another visit I bumped into him in Lommel town centre and had a quick chat with him, he’s had a very good career.

I remember reading some years ago, before France's MXdN streak, that the French government has a big role in talent development for their athletes. If a kid shows promise then they will help get them on the right program to go pro.

I'm paraphrasing, but I remember something like "soon France will be dominating the motocross scene and others will be falling behind" due to this interest from the higher levels. If I find the article ill post it.. hell it might have been a vital thread but I dont know exactly.

Edit: this wasn't just for motocross, if I'm recalling correctly
