Garmin virb 360 and the gps

From what it looks like on TV, you can see there you are slowing down and speeding up on the track with this camera. Does anyone have one, can you use it like a LIT Pro? Can you look at the gps and set markers for lap times? If so, I may have to get one.

I have the Garmin Virb Ultra 30 (should be similar to the Virb 360).

The camera records separate video and data files.
The data includes acceleration forces, GPS data and a few other parameters.

The video needs to be compiled with the data files to show the GPS and other parameters.
However, the video could be played back without compiling but there would be no data displayed.

Yes, you can set markers to record lap times.

It is $800 bucks, it is very expensive compared to the other cameras. Though the image quality looks so good. I picked up a 360Fly HD for $100.00 recently, fun for sure, put it on my sons bike as he is out practicing. The image quality is far from the Virb videos I see out there though.

Am I the only one who does NOT like the 360 videos? Every time I see a helmet cam shot from the nationals it makes me dizzy. Is there a way to set the camera so it will only "point" in one direction, or does it do that stupid "panoramic" thing all on it's own, all the time?
Even if it's pointing one direction, it sure seems like the picture is extremely warped around the edges. Not good at all, IMHO.

I was thinking the same as you... But use the Firebox bowser to view it. Looks more like a GoPro but you can scan around 360. Just blew my mind!
