Great track guys! I remember a stunning battle between Everts and Tortelli in the 1998 250cc championship overthere.

EMX250 has a weekend off, so guys like Graulus, Hsu, Pootjes, Desprey, Sanayei and Sterry will race in MX2.
Apart from MXGP and MX2 the additional classes will be EMX125 and WMX.

Entry lists down here, I've taken off the riders who are injured. Guys like Strijbos, Searle, Guarneri, Lundgren, ... are uncertain.

Can't wait to see how the EMX guys do.
some serious talent in the emx class at the minute- I think with a good start, any one of the front runners in emx could get a decent result in mx2.

Nice track indeed.

I was there in 1988, for the motocross des nations..
Johnson-Ward- and marvellous Ron Lechien, for team USA won the competition, France (JMB-Jacky Vimond and Y.Kervella) finished second..
Great souvenir....

That MX2 class is stacked this weekend with the EMX2 guys riding, pretty exciting to see how they perform! Desprey, Sterry and Graulus could well be top ten. Big weekend for youngsters Hsu and Pootjes too, their first ever GP!

Hsu has been a bit of a disappointment.. He was the next big thing, but doesn't seem to be getting to the front too often. wish we were going, but in Germany ourselves this week, but Maggiora is booked. Think herlings will try and stamp some authorities early doors this week

I think Hsu still needs some time to adapt to the fourstroke. Jorge Zaragoza was also one of the top notch guys in the 125cc class a few years back. He got a podium at the first race, but got injured after that. The season after that, he changed to the fourstroke right away, with unjuries as result. Last year he won an overall, but got injured again.

I feel like some of those youngsters don't take enough time to "bulk up" a little, and then make the change to a bigger bike.

hsu is very small! but so was a kid named ken roczen when he first came into gps and he hasn't done too badly!

I think part of the problem with these youngsters nowadays, is that we are comparing them to herlings and roczen! who came straight into gps at 15/16 and started winning straight away.... its unfair on them really, ken and Jeffrey are the once in ten year sort of talents (everts, carmicheal etc) - just coincidence that they came along at the same time

I still think pootjes/ hsu will get there in the end, just don't expect too much from them right away. As previously mentioned though, I think 10th-15th is a reasonable target for any of these young riders, if they get a start and keep it on 2 wheels then they are all well capable of it on a good day

For Hsu and Pootjes it's their first year in EMX250.
Most need a year to adapt.
They weren't that good in the first year in EMX125 either and killed it in their second.
Give 'm some time to grow into it.

I was talking to Bulmer and the lads about it this weekend and even Pauls Jonass pretty much sucked in his first year in EMX250.

Cool another weekend with lots of racing from Thunder Valley national and the French GP!
I am for sure looking forward to see some of the EMX 250 riders make there 250 GP debut. Kids like Hsu & Pootjes might very well be the next big things in Europe. Sterry has been really impressive in the early part of the emx 250 season this year and Sanayei had a really good emx race last weekend at the GP of Matterly Basin. I am expecting some of them in the top 10.
Looking forward to see how Guillod will do aswell, he is on a roll lately for sure. His scrubs at the Spain GP ... unreal. 2 GP wins in a row!
450s ... Nagl & Desalle seperated by 4 points. Time for Desalle to take the Red plate Evil

I also thought Brian Hsu would be doing a bit better than he has in EMX250. He is young and has plenty of time to figure it out I guess. Will be interesting to see how he and the others fare in MX2.

MX1 has been good to watch so far with several different riders having won GP's. Hopefully that will continue.

MXDN at Villars was first coach trip I organised with my company Moto Travel. Brilliant circuit 45000 fans packed the valley. Ron Lechien was on fire backed by RJ and Wardy to win but Britain's Robbie Herring beat RJ in their second moto.
Check out the disco night clubs servicing the local army bases with beautiful ladies wanting you to buy them champagne + extras if you wish.
Commentating at Scott Nationals in Cumbria or would be there in a flash.
If the racings half as good as Matterley it will be a classic.
Good luck to all British riders and hope Mike Alessi shows his true form and look out for that Darian Danayei doing the US proud in EMX 250cc races.

some additional info for this Tweet.

This morning three staff members from the hospitality of the Honda Martin team found unconscious in their truck. They transferred by helicopter to hospitals in Strasbourg, Geneva and Lyon, where carbon monoxide poisoning is detected. At this time, fighting all three mechanics for their lives!

Let's hope it all ends well!
