Here are some photos dont know why he had black # plates but Im going to give her a face lift and make her nice and clean looking!
Bought it from second owner and he had it sitting in his garage for 2 years and bike was bought in 09.
If you do anything ( and I mean anything! ).......put every dime you can into the suspension! That is the ONLY thing that holds that bike back. I never did and I regret the 3yrs I rode it.....because it bounced around all over the place. If I would of put some serious coin into the suspension...I could have gotten it to work a lot better.
I can tell you though....since it was the last year of the carbed CRF.....the damn thing will pull hard from bottom to top! Awesome motor! Never have I ever felt so comfortable coming out of a really swapped out , rutted corner....hammering the throttle and seat bouncing some big hairy double......The Honda was great at it!
I switched up to a 2012 KXF450 just a few weeks ago.....and since I raced Kawi's for 20yrs +......I really feel at home on it.....and I actually like the Kawi better. BUT.....for an 08'......You will have a lot of fun on that bike man! Great bike! But trust me on the suspension thing.......get it working good for you!
OH...and one more thing. Keep up on the air filter and oil changes. The way the airbox is designed....it really likes to coat the bottom 1/2 of the filter pretty good. It comes in from the big breather hole in the bottom of the air box. And a typical CRF likes to burn the hell out of the oil on the motor side. I got in a rythem of changing my tranny oil every other time I changed my motor oil. The motor oil on mine got changed out about ever 2 - 2.5hrs. One more thing....since the front forks work the oil pretty hard.....they seem to heat the oil up and make them kind of sloppy. Get yourself a set of the factory connection air bleeders , so you can pull back on the forks and bleed the air out between motos.

See what it feels like , figure out what it;s doing that you may not like and then find a good suspension guy to help work through those issues. Overall....you will end up loving that bike. The 2008 CRF 450 was one of the best bikes ever made.....and when certain threads pop up on this site asking " What was your favorite bike ? ".......that bike pops up a lot.

To revalve my 08 CRF450.
1). Kick it twice, it will always start.
2). Shift out of neutral and go.
3). Best stock bike you can buy in the last 2 decades.
Sorry to derail your thread, you bought a great bike. I bought mine, thinking it would be the last MX bike I would ever own. I bought a KTM EXC500 dual sport and really liked the bike, even on the track. So rather than getting used to the Honda, every time I go to the track, I decided to buy a KTM SX-F450. I have no need for the Honda now, but it's going yo be a tough sell.
The forks are a little harsh on the '08, but ENZO did a great job with mine.
