According to his dad, with his first pro contract he took J to a financial advisor and set everything up. He won a regional championship as well. Back in the days of big money before the collapse and tight budgets. His short career still gave him 7 figures to invest with

You really think this dude made over a million bucks as a 250 class rider who was basically semi successful for 1 year? Doubt it. I think it's a little early to declare him "set for life."

What a great thread.
JLAW certainly has confidence in himself.
So long as he is not hurting anybody else, then he should do his thing.

Not real sure you are accounting for his “entertainment” expenses. Professional advisers like attorneys can get expensive too.

His grandpa is the one that made sure Jason made good decisions money-wise early. His dad was in prison.
And yes, he made well over a million $$ in his career. The championship bonus he got from Monster was a million alone. You have to remember this was when Monster was relatively new in mx and offered huge bonuses.

Jlaw made a lot more then just 1 mill as a pro. I would say his base salary in his combined contracts after his first year was pushing a mill, and he was well past that before his championship came. Sponsors pay for attention n he was a king at that. Were also talking about those being golden years, I wasn't even close to winning n I made a few hundred those years. Today it's changed, you have to be pushing top 7 in today's world to be paid 6 figures, back then I remember hearing that teams like T.R.E. paid 50k for there spot n back then they were just breaking into the night show. Completely different times today. Even tho guys like dungey probably made about 10 mill this year lol. money's gone strait to the top is what changed.
