I'm a 46 year old mid pack (on a good day) C rider who's been on a 250 sxf for the last year. Last night I used the 12 year old TM 125 that I'd picked up for my son, and had more fun than I've had in a long time. It felt like I was absolutely flying. Reality set in when guys on 450s started passing me. But as someone who just rides for fun and doesn't really care about results in our local club racing, it didn't matter. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for the rest of the evening. I'm ordinarily exhausted after racing but on that lightweight bike I felt like I was barely even breathing heavy. No real point to this other than to say that 125s can be great fun, and if you want to rekindle the joy of riding, take one out for a blast!
125 are awesome bikes. I think more people should be on them. So light and so much fun.
This Summer in Minnesota
Which is awsome imo
But my understanding is it's just one class
With everyone ABC etc
Which kinda sucks if your slow because you will get lapped
Quick
But at least it's a start
Hopefully before long they will
Have an A , B , and C
125 class
I know you can go race anyway
But imo it's Much more fun to race a 125 against other 125's instead of against 250f,s and 450'fs
It will be fun to watch tho for sure

Don't mean to steal your thunder here, but this thread needs some sound, so here's a few clips of me:
2 stroke championship at glen helen against a bunch of 250's
Cahuilla Creek
on a 450, you can just sit on it, poke through the turn, point it and shoot, and you'll still go somewhat fast.
A 125 is definitely less tiring on the arms though!
Pit Row
Even on the deep sand tracks if someone passed me it was motivation to corner better, faster, smoother.
