Tomorrow at Glen Helen timed practice we will see how Rick stacks up against the 250 class guys.

Sunday at state fair he turned an unofficial 1:11.556 lap time ( my stopwatch) in his last session in the heat, which I was told was close to the fast lap, but who knows.

Stay tuned.
I feel his chances at a good result would be better at a non Socal track.
How did GH go ?

@brent so just to recap, are you just a normal guy on vital (sorry I don't know of youre back ground if you're not) who has responded to someone that reached out on here and have invested you're own time and $ to help a euro rider out and get him to race 250 ama class
Is the lad living at you're house aswell?

That's an unreal jesture mate and want to wish you and the lad all the best, I know I'll be deffo keeping an eye out and rooting for him
I believe that's exactly what we have here.

How about a Racer X 2-Tribes (even online)?

Yeah, but Rick has a KTM contract so then we need to swap those GasGas onces in his KTM frame haha. But with Swoll out and almost the full 250 TLD squad out, the KTM Group could use a 250 rider (no matter the color)

I. Love. This!! I didn’t realize how tall and lanky Rick really is, makes that 250 look kinda small, AC memories.

I am gonna hit up Weege to give you guys some love on the broadcast! Keep up the hard work boys, will be there Saturday.

I think that he might benefit from stiffen up his suspension a bit. But that is something he needs to feel for himself off course.

Don't forget to enjoy and socialize with the team managers if there are any in attending. Maybe now they are open for some helping...

For a first time at GH, that is quite amazing.

Thanks to keep us updated, it is one of the coolest stories of the year.

Hope this gains some traction !

to me.. after riding both alot.. i think the holes develop similarly, but Pala gets more rutted... it gets real square edgy at both places..

To be honest I think he will be ok on the track. I'm maybe a bit worried about the crazy fast paced rhythm section towards the finish line.

He just has that look like he knows what he's doing on a motorcycle. Would love to see what he could with a factory bike next year.

The kid can ride. You just don’t win EMX250 on pure luck. The pace those guys have is top 10 MX2 worthy. It’s just a question how he adapts to the track and some pressure. He never raced a proper GP before, only EMX. Really cool to see an European guy trying a National againSmile Hopefully we will see some Americans at some GP’s too. Let’s goo

Downvotes? I’m just curious as to whether there are ways for us to travel over there anytime soon.

If I'm not mistaken then the KNMV needed to acknowledge him as Pro, the FIM needed to do the same and then he could get a pass to travel. But I'm not completely sure. I know Brent was talking about "jumping lots of hoops" to get here.
