On the podium during the 2nd moto interview Frankie was fiddling inside the air box after lifting the seat, telemetry, nitrous bottle, IV connection or just tightening loose sprocket bolts the hard way?

Generally they do that to unhook the battery that runs the fan... which is still running.

A switch could be one more thing that could go wrong and cut the fan off during the moto. Probably easier and safer just to unplug the battery. Just a guess.

I know of one other KTM team that uses a fuse setup that's a little easier to access.
