Are Fox V3 helmets pretty true to size or do they run small?

Run small. I wear a small in a 6D, Shoei, and Bell. Recently tried the V3 and couldn’t even get a small over my head. The medium felt nice and comfortable.

I usually wear a Medium across the board, shit, my S&S motorcycle helmet is a Small - but with Fox I have to run a Large.

Same here. Large in everything - but had to go XL on the V3

I'm an XL and fit an XL perfect but everyone else seems the opposite. It all comes down to head shape and that makes a big range of difference.

My head's weird in fox helmets. I typically wear a large in everything, nice snug fit.. with higher end fox helmets I felt like a large crushed my cheeks. An XL was way roo big around the top of my head. So I would've had to buy an XL and put L head liner in but use XL cheek pads. I wear a large in a v1 just fine.

I’ve been wearing medium sized Shoei helmets for a while.

When I was about to purchase a Fox V3, I tried both medium and large sizes, but the medium was much more comfortable for me. The large felt loose all around.

Just received the blue V3 Gravs yesterday and tried it on last night. Just as an FYI, the V3 absolutely runs small. Based on the Fox website sizing chart, I should wear a medium in a V3. They were all sold out so I risked getting a large. GLAD I did. There is no way I'd fit in a medium without getting a headache. The large is just right. Just passing on information to anyone looking at a V3.

My head measures 56cm, and my current helmet is a 54-55 small (different brand), and it's loose on my head a bit. Since the Fox V3 medium is listed as a 57-58cm I figured that would be good. Got the matte black in today, tried it on, and holy crap, it was hard to get on, felt like I was ripping my cheeks off. After getting it on it is super tight and I'm not sure I could bear it for an extended period of time. Felt like my head was in a vice. Is it supposed to be like that? I bought it brand new off a seller on Ebay and he refuses to accept a return. UGH.
