Different for each person I am guessing. I grew up 10 minutes inland from the beach, dry heat never bothered me. Went to visit family in Virginia for the first time and felt sick just from walking around the city in the humidity.

Humid heat is worse but after growing up mostly in Norcal riding at Hangtown I can tell you it has it's own challenges. Dry heat is easier but the track gets so hard packed, dusty, breathing in the dust dehydrates you quicker and gets in your eyes making vision blurry.

It looks like there are more motor homes than fans at Pala. There were areas at Ironman where you couldn’t get within 20 feet of the fence. You can’t blame it on weather, either. As someone who has lived in both places, I can guarantee you that 90 degrees at Ironman felt hotter than 100 at Pala.
