Fox Instincts worth trying?

Are they worth it for woods riding? I was gonna get Sidi crossfires until I saw the price. The fox instincts are on sale on rocky mountain and I'm just wondering if they will hold up or not for the woods riding I do.

Yes definitely! The most comfortable boot I've ever worn. Zero break in too. Try them on and you'll see.

Go try them on, they run a size smaller than normal. I went into a local shop last weekend and am torn between Instinct and SG12, Gaerne size 10 fit like a glove and I couldnt even get a size 10 Instinct on my foot. The 11 felt good but I like how much stiffer the SG12 is on my ankles..

The 15 model runs true to size now. , fox improved the sizing and buckles for 2015, I have a pair, great boot.

I don't know how the durability is on the Fox's, but Gaerne's are bullet proof. Easily get your money's worth. It seems every time I see a rider with Fox boots at least one buckle is flapping open. Never happens with Gaerne's.

Fox Instincts are THE best boots I have ever tried. I've been selling and wearing boots for a long, long time....and they are hands down my favorite. In fact...I have a brand spanking new (but not the 2015) set of 12's in white that I'm letting go for $350 if there is any interest.

You owe it to yourself to try a set on and walk through the store with them on. You will be impressed immediately.

I was between the Instinct and SG 12. I ended up going with the SG12 for a couple reasons: The SG12 sizing worked better for my foot and the boot felt less bulky and a little slimmer overall. I'm also pretty thin and have small calves. Even with pads or braces on, I still had too much room at the top if the Instinct boot (especially with the absence of velcro to help close it up). I'm able to get the SG12's cinched up good and tight at the top.

Boots are too important to buy without trying them on someplace local first. I love the look of the Instincts and really thought they'd be my next boot...but they were tight on the top/side of my foot. I was disappointed until I tried on the Gaernes and suddenly I forgot about how the instincts 'look'! ...lol
