Fox Instinct vs A-Stars Tech 10 sizing?

They run smaller. I wear a size 10 Tech 10 and also have a size 10 instinct but they are much tighter. I still wear the instinct comfortably but it’s definitely tighter. I prefer them over my tech 10’s though, they’re lighter.

Size 13 Tech 10s fit me perfectly. A pair of 2019 size 14 instincts were too big for me.

Same, but the difference between having the inner booties to not having them is noticeable.

I thought about doing this switch as well until I tried on a pair at my local shop. I never found I had to ever break in a pair of tech 10's but my initial thoughts of the Instincts were they were extremely stiff and didn't feel like I had nearly the protection like my tech 10's. I've had a lot of similar comments from buddies switching due to Fox sponsorships and they have all said if they had to buy a boot at full retail it would be the A-stars without a doubt. The Instincts look absolutely killer, but I would suggest trying a pair on if you haven't yet before purchasing. The sizing was a bit smaller than the A-stars but they would of been too big for me if I went up a size.

i guess i am one of the opposite. I have worn tech 8s and tech 10s since 1995 and got a pair of instincts last year. They are my favorite boot I have ever had

I wear 9.5 and size 10 in Tech10s fit me perfect.I've tried Fox Instinct size 10 and they were to tight and for me personally really,really stiff.

Previous boots were Tech 10 (size 9), switched to Instincts last summer (size 10). Instincts are favorite boots I've had. Comfortable right from the first ride and I really like how quick they go on and off. Got tired of the separate bootie in the Tech 10.

Instinct size 10.
Tech 10 size 9.

I have size 12 tech 10s and they fit awesome. Fox instinct a 13, for sure run a size bigger but they are nice boots. I got such a good deal on the alpinestars I couldn't pass em up. Good luck with you're decision !

I have wore Alpinestars and Gaerne boots for years always wore a size 9. Friend let me try on his Fox boots in a size 9 and almost couldn't get my foot in them.

The biggest thing I noticed is if you dab your foot or toe in instincts on a rock or hard pack, you will feel it. You can literally kick a piece of concrete with tech 10's on and minimally even feel it. Depending on what you ride on that may or may not be a good thing

wayyyyyy smaller. In my case I'd say it's a full size. I normally wear 12's in Astars but I got Instincts in the same size and couldn't wear them period.
