I don't want to speculate too much, but after watching the Reed crash for the 100th time it's becoming obvious that his boots hooked on his footpeg somehow and basically wrapped his leg around the bike. I've never seen a crash like that before and people go over the bars pretty often. Is there something unique or different on the inside of the new Instinct boots compared to Gaernes or Astars that may have factored into Reed's leg getting caught? Has anyone else thought about this or am I just crazy?
The Shop
It kept him from sliding his weight back to prepare for the whoops. I think that's why he endoed and went down stuck to the bike. No other reason why he wouldn't have separated from it.
On Motocross.com, you can see how left foot gets caught on the foot peg...
