Wow, I just watched the HBO special with Green Day getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The only part I watched was Green Day, all 3 guys had a very emotional speech. They showed each of their families while they were talking, but I did not realize that was the same girl. Good for her, he talked like they were very happy together.

It was great to hear them tell stories of how they got started, playing back yard parties and tiny bars, sleeping on floors of whoever would let them stay. The lead singer and the base guitarist have known each other since the 5th grade.

My wife has pics from her 15th bday party with them playing in her backyard. Next door to Tony Hawk. Pics are hillarious.
