Anyone else think maybe Forkner should ride the rest of SX on the 450 when he comes back? The 450 class is stacked but so many greats have rode some rounds on the bigger bike while still riding 250f/125 . This may be a good opportunity to give it a try? Yes? No? Maybe? Let's hear what you think.

Hahahahaha absolutely not.

If he wants to ride a 450 next year then coming up would be a good time to try it, but likely won't happen.

No.

If he wants to sit out nationals again he should for sure

Id personally like to see it, but its a long shot

I'd like to see him on a star racing yamaha

He cant stay healthy on a 250... so why would PC put him on a more powerful and unfamiliar bike??

Would be pretty cool.

Bonus: I bet vets in the 450 class would appreciate having some one with his maturity and decision-making on the track with them.

He can barely race the 250. Why would you make it any harder?

|

It was totally bizarre that it took AC so long to come good on a 250 and now the same is happening with Forkner.
Mitch must have the patience of a saint.

The above may be fact or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting. I am not sure, you have no chance.

He needs to stay focused on 250 or he'll be cleaning Mitch's shop with Matthes.

The truth is sometimes harsh but it is what it is...

I don’t see the benefit on him coming back to SX in either class. Heal up for Nats and hopefully put it together like AC did.

I mean maybe local A classes are better suited for the young mang. Nothing wrong with making an honest living at the local races.

I was sitting here thinking the same thing. He may need a change in scenery to get back on track. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge PC Kawasaki fan. I just think he may need to go a different direction. And the 450 would be a bad decision IMHO.

I would say, percentage pie wise........ you aint having any pie.

He can’t stay off the ground on a 250, what makes you think he would do better on a 450?

|

1/30/2021 4:56 PM

The issue is he would come in with that same cocky attitude and end up lawn darting himself. He should focus on staying healthy and off the ground for a season before he tries competing with the big boys.

You know I would agree but when I was about 14 I was pushing my dad to get me a 450 and I went through a phase where everytime I rode my 250f I would eat shit not just little tip overs I'm talking big crashes my dad said the same thing no way I'm getting you a 450 you are going to kill yourself was talking about putting me back on a 125. I blew my bike up and had to ride his 450 for a few weeks and I rode it flawlessly he rebuilt and sold my 250 and bought me a 450 and my crashing phase was over. Some riding styles just suit the 450 better

Ok, now, as far as sarcastic replies go, this one was gold. I actually snorted.

Braaapin' aint easy.

Jett will be on a 450 before Forkner

|

He said at the start of the year this was his final year in the 250 class.
so Im assuming due to points.
But with injury, i wonder if he comes back and does a few rounds will that cause him to have to go up or just shire of points and chooses to stay down again another year.

If i was Forkner, id be trying to get as much seat time on the 450 as possible. Because that time is coming.

Forkner is 23 this year.

If he comes back and scores a total of 135 points or more, he'll be forced to move up to the 450 class.

I personally think it would be in his best interest to stay below that threshold. Not many 450 rides to go around.

Forkner is the guy that would go to JGR if they were still around

Race some GP’s (MX1 or MX2...if eligible) and prep for winning the AMA outdoor title.
