Really feel bad for the kid, he’s got the speed and ability but these crashes have to be taking a toll on him physically.

I can’t believe it took 3 posts (past the OP) to ask this. Does anyone know if he’s OK?

Hard to believe it wasn't more serious. He seemed out of it on the ground: "Racer X’s Jason Weigandt checked with the team after the race and they said he was sore but not seriously injured in the crash"

Update from RacerX

That’s good news. The kid is fun to watch when he’s on it.

There are countless guys who get injured a lot. Forkner is not topping that list by any stretch. He has had injuries, along with every other guy out there.

The only thing he has in common with canard is this particular crash, glad hes not injured he hit his shoulder pretty hard i was worried but he rolled which helped.

I just hope he hasn't had too many concussions. Other parts of the body can heal. The brain cannot. CTE is no bueno.

A little truth considering where Trey broke his leg the last time.

Again?? How many DNF's has Forkner had this season where he couldn't continue the moto, but felt fine afterwards? I really hope the kid incorporates some toughness training into his off-season program, because he won't be a title contender like this.

He may not have been totally KO'd he took off his goggs, sat up a bit then laid down with a fully rung bell. He probably assumed since he hadn't got hit yet they were flagging and protecfting him - and I just need to rest a bit right HERE where I'm laying. Hard to explain - like most head injuries.

Hoping for the best.

If this was happening to Stewart then it would be all his fault and he's a reckless out of control racer.

I'm more pissed at the lack of flagger/medic action at a known crash spot as pointed out above. Feel bad for the kid and we all know he's working his ass off, but you can't help to think of the greats like Canard and Hepler that had race win speed at all times, but couldn't keep it on 2 wheels. These head ringers are going to end his MX career sooner than later, he has some hard ass diggers early in his pro years.

flagger was there and being seen. the problem is yellow flags in pros just mean carry yer speed with caution...the flagger did not put out the redcross (which will actually mean obstruction/rider down on backside). Flagger was slow to respond. He should tossed the redcross immediately because of rider down in blind spot.

not enough flaggers was not the issue....the flagger being slow to react was.

Who's fault is it then and, how could one crash where he did, alone, and not be out of control?
