Interesting how the focus is on the amount of flex vs. KYB's which are apparently different in some way and intended for aluminum chassis? It would be interesting to know more about the "difference" in KYB or WP uppers and lowers.

And used my photos without my permission and stuck some logos on it...cool...not...

WP is more rigid to match the higher flex at the front of the KTM/Husqvarna...KYB tubing has been developed around aluminum frame bikes which are a bit more rigid towards the headstay...those upper tubes are a bit thinner and flex more.

I would trust a Race Tech installer using the tried and true Race Tech SSS spring conversion kit, that has been available for years.
IMO.

As far as I'm aware, there's no SSS conversion kit with Race Tech. They do have a single spring style conversion kit for SFF type air forks, where they remove the air spring cartridge and replace it with a coil spring setup. But that's just one side, this conversion kit is to replace both internals with a complete KYB AOS/SSS spring/valving cartridge unit. Meaning you'll have springs and valving stacks on each side.

After Euro conversion, it looks like around $1500. Installation can be a problem with removing the axle lugs, but the rest looks pretty straight forward.

Sounds about right. I went to the European site and it was 1203.95 Euros with VAT added. Was the 1750 installed or just the kit?

Tired of air forks.. What is the best/ and or affordable way to turn AERs into simple plain jane spring forks?

I just want good forks like my old Enzo KYBs.

No, that was just the msrp I was quoted for the kit to sell to my customer. He still would've had to pay me for the install and also for the revalve if he wanted that too.

This kit has me interested , but I'm still leaning towards the Kreft cartridges. It sticks with air , but being able to adjust the valving on the fly.....very neat indeed. Ping agrees too.

I explained it in a prior thread but the test didnt work out as I had invisioned. Basically everyone disagreed opinion wise and some of the brands brought components that I later found out aren’t available to the public, things got swapped, etc.

Right now, as it sits I just can’t teally put together a piece that gives accurate or usable info.

You better sticky this seeing how somebody feels the need to bust your balls in every. single. thread. that A-Kit is brought up in.

Yeah, I got my info mixed up. Back in'16 I had the PDR Race Tech shop install SSS in my 4CS.

Okay sorry never saw that post..
It must hold some very good technical information for those who have a higher level interest in suspension, even if it is a mixed bag and not up to a standard you would like to present..
Maybe if the article was given to an impartial re-writer/checker (what ever they are called) for their version?
Seems an awfull big waste and i do hope it isnt being held back due to external pressures.
