You`re talking about the guy with the points lead and the most wins so far, right?

Climate change is real and temps are rising. It’s why we need to lower our footprint on this planet and start taking care of it.
Nice cast

I’ll use vacation days from work next year to attend. I saw enough on tv today to make that an ez decision.

Let me get this straight. You’re saying it shouldn’t be hot in Florida...in June? Whistling

Track, yes. Elements... If they could dial back the temp and humidity a bit so evaporative cooling would be effective that'd be ok!

The racers themselves might not like it much, but it was fun for me to watch them deal with the elements.

I'm more sympathetic. There's no way for these guys to become acclimated at these extremes. You can't just expose yourself to this and become calloused. You heard them talking about boiling fuel? Think about when you have a fever. Normal temp is 98.6f and 100f is considered a fever and 104f is Hyperpyrexia. Now these numbers vary depending on who you talk to/ where you're getting the reading from ie orally, rectally or your armpit. Your blood and brain and organs start to get real upset real quick.
Yeah I am rethinking it a little. Perhaps it is not safe to physically push in that kind of heat. I enjoyed seeing them work for it, but I want to be safe as well. I would hate to see an athlete die, or ruin the rest of the season because pushing in the Florida heat.

I didn't say that. I said 'That's a thumbs down'

Nobody was preaching. If you're looking for a respectful conversation on the matter, feel free to pm me.

Just watched the motos and read through this thread. The track was awesome and brutal all at the same time but what a fantastic addition to the series. Having been to Naples Florida on several occasions in June and July i CANNOT imagine riding on a motocross track, let alone that one! Any rider that finished both motos is a total stud.

Ferrandis said it was probably the hardest race he has ever done.

I like the night race idea. However, if I remember correctly one of the big concerns from the city was noise abatement and I think Junior had to agree to shutting down at a certain time in the evening. I have a friend that lives like 3 miles from WW. He texted me during the second 450 moto and said he could hear them loud and clear. Before we moved to Georgia we lived 5 miles from there, but I never heard them. I live 3 miles north of NFMX now and if there's a cloud cover I occasionally hear the riders there.

Anyway, maybe Junior could get a permit for a night race if it's just once a year.

I think I remember that he was pretty spent in Thailand a few years ago as well. That day a couple of riders had an IV after moto 1 and didn't race moto 2 (including Gajser who won the title that year).
But that was a relatively easy hardpack track. Compared to the sand yesterday where you have no rest at all during the whole moto.

Long hair don't care! He took way too long to get around Cooper. I wonder if he was asked to play nice after the last time he had to pass him?

MM25 redeemed himself yesterday in my eyes. Saying 'this is what real motocross is.'

He was not on my good list after t-boning Tomac in SX that time but now I am a fan again.

Florida MX in the sand and heat is the real thing. Classic stuff.
