I'm looking for some pictures of KTMs with the flo orange plastics. Just trying to see what people are doing and get some ideas. I've google searched and there's really not a whole lot.

Thanks

I'm a fan of them. The color holds up pretty well. This is after ~50hrs on the bike.

Acerbis always fit very well on my 13-15 KTMs

These are from Acerbis. Fit just as well as the OEM on my 2017.

That's certainly helping. I'm having a difficult time figuring out what I want to do with this bike. It's the ugliest dang bike I've ever owned. I'm not a fan of the color orange, and the stock shade is terrible. The flo kit does look a lot better, and I really like it with some blue mixed in. I'm thinking do the flo orange on the front end of the bike with the rear fender and side panels white. Then have the graphics done with a heavy dose of blue, white, and some gray.

How do you like the XC? In particular what do you think of the suspension in the rough stuff (braking bumps, rocks and roots etc) PS fork decals are on upside down silly

seein as the xc is made for offroad itll be better than its sx or jap brand mx bikes...
most people will still get their suspension done though

Some people are a bit surprised at me riding a 450 in our local series as it's mostly tight and technical, but the 2017 450 XC-F is amazing. I geared it down a couple of teeth and put on a fan for this past season. I didn't even touch the suspension (Not even the sag) and it was darned good and I won our Vet-A class; usually catching and passing all the Open A guys and a few AA guys.

Over the winter I did have Factory Connection go through the forks and shock. My only complaint with the AER fork is that it was a bit harsh when hitting about items at speed (Smaller logs, rocks, and roots). Getting it back I noticed a positive change for the forks. Riding endurocross, I was able to hit stuff more aggressively and the bike handled it much better. Riding our practice trail it soaks up the small chop much better as well. I found the pressure to be the best at 140.

The biggest surprise was actually setting the sag. Factory Connection suggested the sag to be between 110-115mm and I had been ~85-90mm all year. (Note: I didn't have the best equipment growing up so this was still fine for me). After setting the sag to 102 (I need a lighter spring), it was a huge difference.

I did a side-by-side comparison with a buddy's bike that has the Cone Valve forks and Trax shock and I didn't notice a big difference quite honestly. But, I'm also not fast enough to take full advantage of them!

I can't really comment on how it handles on an MX track. I quit that stuff a while ago. Off road is safer and when the race is over, I'm usually ready to be done. Whereas in MX, I may ride 2 classes and most of that time is spent sitting around.

-- I also noticed the decals were upside down after I put them on. I decided I didn't care enough to pull them off! Factory Connection peeled them off and put their own on so it's all set now smile

A 450 in the tight stuff eh? Right on. I was at a Beta test ride day last year and the last bike I rode was a Beta 480 and I was shocked at how easy/fun it was to ride the loop (which was tight and twisty). Had me wondering if I have been doing it wrong all these years (I ride a 250F, and 250 two stroke) It felt like I didn't have to work so hard to get going. A couple other riders that day said the same thing.

I had a KTM 200XC and the forks seem like they were similar. Just not plush enough. If I get another XC I'll go the Factory Connection route as well.

I really appreciate the feedback!

I ordered my graphics last night and I'm pretty stoked on them. I'm waiting to get them to order my plastics. I want to see how they come out to determine if I want to do a white rear fender and side plates, or all flo orange. I'm thinking they will look really good with a white rear end. I'll post up pics once I get it done.

Just got my graphics kit in and I love how it turned out. I want to get my plastics ordered today, but can’t figure out how I want it. Here’s what I’m thinking.
Flo orange front fender, number plate, and fork guards with everything else white.
Or same but with flo orange rear fender as well
Or solid flo orange

What do you guys think would look best?
