No more 6D. A bit of a downgrade. Oh well.

Probably more than a bit of an upgrade paycheck wise though.
To be fair Bell has it's own version of the 6D idea, so he's probably doing the same on one and better on the other.

Can't really see his face. How do we know if it's really Eli? I have my doubts.

Hopefully he can do as well as he did on the Factory Honda, minus the crash.

Hardly a "down grade" ! While I will admit that 6D got the other helmet companies to wake up and work on building better helmets.... The Bell FLEX helmet is every bit as good as the 6D.

Yeah, the way he swung his leg across the bike was so smooth and effortless. That video sealed it, ET3 will win both SX and MX this year going away!!! He just looks so focused. (keeping the sarcasm to epic levels).

On the serious side, I look forward to the upcoming videos of the riders ripping laps on the factory practice tracks and people saying "wow, rider X is really going to be fast this year"!!! Good times.

Totally unrelated, I must be a red meat eating stud of an American because I'm getting banner ads on Vital for the FNS Compact 9mm/.40cal pistol. I clicked the ad and now think I want one. Seriously
Hahahaha. Thought I was the only one who gets firearm ads on a MX website.

Is that a Bell helmet? No more 6D?
It's a Bell Flex. Very curious why he would switch away from 6D, especially having kept them after moving away from Geico Honda to the 450 team, where he could have any helmet.

I don't know the moto politics of his current sponsors or even if that had anything to do with it, I just truly hope he switched because he believes his head is safer, and not for $$. I believe the Tomac's are a great, sensible family from talking with friends in Durango, CO and other people who know them personally....so I hope it's purely his own decison.

his dad john has a long term relationship with them, he used bell helmets in his pro career and eli checked them out and was very impressed with the standards and technology they have.

Finally Official: Eli Tomac Moves to Monster Energy Kawasaki

Finally Official: Eli Tomac Moves to Monster Energy Kawasaki

Vital MX - We're here, live at the 2015 AIMExpo, where Kawasaki has finally announced their 2016 Supercross/Motocross team lineup. The presenter just announced what we've all been hearing for months, Eli Tomac will join the Monster Energy Kawasaki squad, along side returning rider Wil Hahn for 2016. Eli Tomac and his longtime mechanic, Brian Kranz, are both making the switch for next year.

In an off-season without too many team changes, this is of course the largest team announcement as Eli Tomac has rode for the Geico Honda squad since his pro debut in 2010. Where he of course won in his rookie outing at Hangtown. Eli is still recovering from his shoulder injury he acquired at Thunder Valley this year, so we won't be seeing him lineup on his new KX450F until the opening round of Supercross in 2016 at Anaheim 1.

Amongst the team announcements, it was also confirmed that the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team will retain their same five riders for 2016. Meaning we'll be seeing Adam Cianciarulo, Tyler Bowers, Joey Savatgy, Arnaud Tonus, and Chris Alldredge all back under Mitch Payton's tent this next year, along with the possibility of seeing Austin Forkner make his debut with the team before the year is over.

This announcement was set inside of Kawasaki's presentation here at the AIMExpo, so we expect more information within the next few hours. Make sure to check back for the official press release at 9 A.M. PST.
