Congrats KTM, you've joined the "horrendous looking stock exhaust"-club.

But other than that, i like it.

What's with the 2 stroke looking pipe?

^ That's all I can think about right now.

I hope the exhaust means some out of the corner hit!!!! cause that is what is missing from my 16... Looks good!

No more Akrapovic exhaust on the factory editions, ML?

Good looking bike, though.

I agree but how many people actually ride with the stock exhaust?

Bike really looks good though.

Also that expansion chamber on the header is massive

I was hoping for the Akrapovic exhaust, it was one of the advantages of buying an Factory Edition IMO... Other than that ugly exhaust it looks good!

The first gen FE has the stock can. Just like it had in 2015.

The 2019 FE will probably get the aftermarket can.

Sweet looking machine. Love the bodywork. One thing I miss though is it actually boldly saying KTM on the shrouds. They haven't done that since 15.5.

|

The pipe isnt as long but its girthy, i hear women prefer that. I make myself laugh thats all that matters.

Honestly I feel a little disappointed by this. Visually it looks almost identical to the 17.5 factory edition. It'll probably perform better but maybe I was just expecting more. We'll see...

The most interesting part is the new engine and intake. I can't wait to see more in depth pictures of it.

I hope they release similar pictures of it like they did with the 2015 back in the day.

I kinda agree. I was hoping they would shake the look up a bit. I know aesthetics aren't that important but they kinda are. Looks a lot like the last two FE 450s. Of course, there are major improvements but I was hoping for a different looking bike, I guess.

Still badass!

I was expecting more but am happy my 2017 looks very similar so I won't feel the need to update asap.

|

12/4/2017 10:29 AM

Well that was a huge let down. Let's hope the performance updates are better than the little aesthetics changes.

|

12/4/2017 10:30 AM

I’m confused.... it looks almost identical

There's that factory ktm Hinson clutch cover everyone was recently trying to find in a different thread. Wonder if they'll be available for public sale?

Probably. They had the older plastic on them when testing the bike in public.
